Subaru Fest 2012

 The Subaru Fest 2012 finally went down this Sat, bigger than the previous event and even juicier, with the biggest tuners in the countries, likes of Juiced, Unity Auto Garage and Monster bringing in their coolest rides. More Photos>>

I was late for the event after attending a Dark Knight Rises after party which was after the premier of the block buster here in Kenya, waking up was a problem, i arrived at the with festival my head feeling like a rumbling British coal train.

I went directly to the Subaru booth where they showed their new Impreza, Outback and XV

Call it the Impreza? Yeah, its a jacked up Impreza, Subaru has reintroduced the XV badge like they did to the Impreza in mid 2010. Comes in 3 variants but all are powered by the same third-generation four-cylinder 2.0-litre ‘FB’ horizontally opposed Boxer engine that manages 110kW (at 6200rpm) and 196Nm of torque (at 4200rpm)

 The steering wheel is reach and height adjustable!

 Yes i know...not your ordinary Impreza but Subaru has changed a lot in all its models...form interior to exterior... The familiar 2.5-liter flat-four is replaced with a smaller, 2.0-liter version of the Forester’s engine. They have a CVT transmission too replacing the older 4speed auto.

 The 2012 Subaru Outback too...changed alot, the car appeared in Dark Knight Rises, Gordon was driving a blue one too. The Outback is available in the following trims: the base 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R, 3.6R Premium and 3.6R Limited.

Away from the new babies to the tuners, Sheikh Motors was my first encounter. He has 325hp from his white horse.

Then came the guys from Monster with their Forester with its loud dump valves...the guy whom people nick named DJ Khalid had all the reasons to be proud.

And there was Juiced.... if you were a big "mathree" fanatic, they tuned the NO.58 "Brain Child" and you can't talk about Juiced without talking about Unity Auto Garage...the garage that began in 1974 now the biggest tuner in the country.

 They used almost KSH2,000,000 to turn this N8 into an N12...this killed the show when she turned up...

 this CLS and the "Brain Child" with before and after pics is also their work.

And there were more, i'd say that the tuning scene in Kenya is growing day by day looking to a day when tuner shops will be massive.

 This was one of my fav set of wheels, huge brembos on all fours.

 If i had decided to show you the girls that were here...trust me thats a different story...i've never been around sexy ladies like that day, starting with the capital fm crew to the visitors...damn!

 This Legacy sedan had a set of BBS rims that are actually famous amongst many subrus of late, and they looked good Black on Black
